Just a quick post to show y’all a business card redesign that we did for Russ McQueen. Out with the old one color, thermographic printing, and in with the flexibility of 2 sided, full color printing. While our full color cards can be finished in a variety of ways (like gloss, spot gloss, etc.) we decided that a smooth semi-gloss finish would enhance the look and feel of the card while protecting the surface. And one of the nice things about our full color printing is that you can get both sides printed in full color for the same price, and sometimes much less, than standard thermographic printing.

Jennifer Robin O’Keefe is an author, web designer, social media guru, TV show host and producer, and paid speaker. I was lucky enough to take a couple of her insightful seminars on social media. So, when she asked me to assist in the design of the book cover for her new book “Vitamins For Your Website,” I was excited for the opportunity. Jennifer presented me with a basic concept for what she was looking for and let me do the rest.
What you see here are final mockups that I produced for Jennifer’s approval. It incorporates all of the concepts that she asked for and presents them in eye-catching style.
“I gave Ken a vague idea of what I wanted for my book cover and he was able to incorporate the colors and style I pictured in a special, unique way. He took the time to consider every element and use of the final design and ensured that the execution would be flawless.”

The prescription (pun intended) for this logo design project for Massachusetts Veterinary Surgery Referral Center (MVSRC) was to create a distinctive logo that reflects the exceptional care, service, capabilities and professionalism that embodies MVSRC. It also has to project the well deserved confidence that their clients have in MVSRC’s ability to shield/protect and care for its patients. The logo’s ability to stand alone as a recognizable symbol was an important consideration.

Justin Ladd, owner of Ladd’s Outdoor Services, was looking to freshen up his logo. As you can see from the before sample, the old logo was very dated; using a vintage tree engraving and a typestyle that doesn’t effectively portray the professionalism that he desired. We redesigned the logo with appropriate colors and made his business name stand out. We think that you’d agree that this is a pleasing logo that provides effective marketing possibilities.
After viewing the logo redesign Justin replied, and I quote, “I love it!!! Way better than I ever expected!! You did An amazing job Ken. Very happy with it.” That’s what we like to hear!
What services does Ladd’s Outdoor Services provide? I’m glad you asked.
